Tesco to expand scan-as-you-shop program

Brand Republic reports that U.K. retail juggernaut Tesco is expanding its test of scan-as-you-shop devices, a test that has been in place at a Romford store for six months.

Shoppers scan products before putting them in their carts, ostensibly making the checkout process much quicker.

According to the report, 10 million shoppers per week are currently using the system.
