Bailey Banks & Biddle launches private-label credit card

Bailey Banks & Biddle, an iconic name in retail jewelry, has joined TD Retail Card Services' L.J.C. (Luxury, Jewelry, Class) private-label credit card program.

Under the agreement, the Mahwah, N.J.-based division of TD Bank, N.A., will direct all facets of the L.J.C. program for Bailey Banks & Biddle. The retailer currently operates five stores in King of Prussia, Pa., St. Louis, Mo., and Houston, Austin and Plano, Texas.

The L.J.C. Card is a full-featured revolving private label credit card created specifically for independent and small-chain retailers of jewelry and other luxury items. Cardholders can avail themselves of a number of special financing options, including multiple deferred interest and equal payment promotions.

Originally established in Philadelphia in 1832 and re-launched in 2010, Bailey Banks & Biddle today stresses a combination of online pricing and in-store service. The company's interactive "Bailey's Design Studio" enables customers to virtually "marry" a favorite mounting from hundreds of high-quality design samples with the 25,000-plus diamonds from around the world found on its website at prices below those at traditional jewelry retailers.
