AVT Inc. announced last week that it will integrate Intel products into their automated retail systems, touting that the partnership will position the companies at the forefront of the future of intelligent vending. Intel will produce the computer chips for the systems while AVT designs and builds the hardware.
"As vending technology evolves and new chip designs allow us to create innovative, highly interactive systems, we will see the entire retailing industry continue to evolve toward automation," said Shannon Illingworth, founder and chairman of AVT. "These new systems will feature a multitude of innovations, including HD digital signs, interactive touchscreen controls, cashless payment systems and the ability to personalize the shopping experience to each individual."
