Cummins Allison today announced that the U.K grocery chain Tesco has installed more than 15 Money Machine self-service coin counters in its Superstores and Metro stores.

As part of a targeted rollout of approximately 50 units, the Cummins Allison coin counters were installed under the Coin Exchange brand, making it the largest European installation of the Money Machines since its U.K. launch in 2011, the announcement said.

"The coin counters are a great way for our customers to exchange their pennies for pounds, ensuring their pockets and purses aren't jangling with small coins," said Stephen Law, assets and estate buyer at Tesco. "They're fast and reliable, and are popular with our customers and colleagues alike."

"Retail organizations are seeking partners who can match their ability to provide superior service to their customers," said Jim Stearns, executive vice president of international operations at Cummins Allison, in the announcement. "As the industry leader in accurate and reliable currency and coin handling, Cummins Allison has worked with Tesco to provide a best-in-class service. Our success for more than 125 years is founded on the success of our customers who, like Tesco, significantly improve their business through the use of our technology."
