Canadian pharmacy chain Medicine Shoppe Canada has begun establishing a digital signage network that connects their pharmacies across Canada and presents value-added health care information to patients and customers, according to a company announcement. Sixty locations were already operational on the network at the end of 2012 while another thirty are expected to be added in 2013.
Medicine Shoppe Canada selected place-basaed media software company ScreenScape to power its digital signage network, the announcement said.
Medicine Shoppe Canada Director of Operations and Training Jon Johnson said his company "is committed to providing quality pharmacare and convenient service," in the announcement.
"Place-based media offers us an efficient means to impart valuable information to customers while they visit our pharmacies," he said. "ScreenScape offers the right combination of ease-of-use and cost-effectiveness that has proven to be the right fit for us."
With more than 170 retail pharmacies across the country, Medicine Shoppe Canada is a division of McKesson Canada, a subsidiary of McKesson Corp. ScreenScape is a software service designed to simplify the process of creating and distributing digital media content for retail marketing.
