Walmart is planning to make its American payment terminals compliant with smartcard-based technology.

According to Tech World, the plans were announced this week, as reported on by StoreFront Backtalk, which quoted Jamie Henry, Walmart’s director of payment services, as saying Walmart was working on making all payment terminals in its American stores chip and PIN capable.
