LONDON — Screen Events Ltd. today announced the highlights for Europe's biggest digital signage and DOOH Media event in 2009. Renamed "Screen Media Expo Europe 2009" to reflect its engagement with the media, marketing and advertising communities, the show has also refined its conference and learning program to attract an even greater audience of screen-media users and providers from around the world.
"We've tweaked the show title for 2009 as we feel this gives it a stronger and more complete look and feel which separates it from the crowd," said Mark Pigou, director, Screen Events Ltd. "Major highlights include three distinct conference strands with key industry players and a larger Digital Media Gallery. Our stand bookings have already overtaken last year and we have a great sponsor and media partner line up. Plus, the show is projected to grow to over 130 exhibitors and 4000 visitors in 2009."
New for 2009 are three independent joint venture conferences running in association with Screen Media Expo Europe. Media Week magazine will host the "DOOH Media Summit," POPAI Digital the "Digital Media in Retail Summit" and Cleverdis the "DOOH Technology Summit." The call for papers will be announced by each joint venture partner and Screen Media Expo Europe show marketing shortly.
There will be a new Content and Network Owners area next year and the Digital Media Gallery will be expanded, allowing visitors to watch a wider selection of screens and digital media advertising campaigns in action. The Screen, the U.K. trade body for the industry, will also run daily "DOOH Industry Briefings" on hot topics in the sector.
The 2009 show sponsors are BroadSign, Cabtivate, Daktronics, LG, Protouch, Remote Media and Samsung.
