Infrared tech measures crowds, shortens lines

The Blackpool Citizen: U.K. supermarket Morrisons has implemented a system from iQM that uses infrared technology to measure shoppers entering the store. The system compares that data with the average length of sale, and store staffers then use the resulting data to decide how many lanes to have open at any given time.
