Cambridge Network: Remote Media has announced that the pilot project for "Thomson Video Touch Kiosks" has secured a place in the finals of the 2008 Retail Systems Awards for the best use of in-store marketing technology in retail award. The touchscreens allow customers to view all available video content of hotels, resorts and destinations via self-service touch screens in Thomson shops. The content was praised for providing enhanced destination information and allowing customers to browse without feeling under obligation to buy.
