Progressive Grocer: E. Leclerc hypermarkets plans to install 70,000 electronic shelf labels (ESL) that use electronic paper display technology that reproduces the exact information of a shelf edge paper label, including a barcode. The retailer will install the DotMatrix ESLs from Pricer. In addition to the increased resolution, which eliminates paper stickers, all ESL product linking is done completely at the shelf edge, and each unit's memory can support full text such as product information.
