CHICAGO — GlobalShop, billed as "the world's largest annual retail design and in-store marketing trade show," opens its doors today at Chicago's McCormick Place West Facility. The exhibit floor is slated to include 900 companies, offering more than 8,000 new products and services.

According to The Nielsen Company, more than 15,000 attendees visit the show each year.

Special areas will include the idX Green Product Challenge, which will show more than two dozen environmentally friendly tools for retailers, and the New Product Showcase, where the best and most innovative new products are displayed under one umbrella.
