Cibo acquires customer experience agency HYDRANT

Integrated brand experience agency Cibo recently announced the acquisition of HYDRANT, an established customer experience agency based in San Francisco. The two companies will begin operating as one immediately, with HYDRANT being fully integrated into Cibo in the coming months, the announcement said.

The acquisition of HYDRANT brings the total number of Cibo employees to more than 45 and further solidifies the company's ability to provide integrated digital brand experiences to its clients, according to the announcement.

"We are thrilled to welcome the multitalented HYDRANT team to the Cibo family," Cibo co-founder and CEO Lu Lacourte said in the announcement. "Ever since our founding, we've had multiple opportunities to partner with them on projects for a wide variety of clients. HYDRANT's staff will enhance the Cibo talent pool with expertise in every aspect of user experience. The fusing of our two companies promises to deliver an even greater depth of brand storytelling, user experience design and marketing technology solutions to create work for our clients that people care about."

The Cibo acquisition will also see HYDRANT co-founder and partner Alder Yarrow assume the title of chief experience officer at Cibo, while fellow HYDRANT co-founder Bob Skubic has been named Cibo's new chief design officer.

"Designing great customer experiences has always been about understanding the way that brands and people interact," Yarrow said in the announcement. "Joining forces with Cibo produces a unique and powerful set of offerings for any company looking to enhance or transform their brand experience."
