International e-commerce firm Borderfree announced that it has partnered with MarketLive to bring global commerce capabilities to its platform. Borderfree will be MarketLive's exclusive international fulfillment partner, according to the companies.
As a part of the partnership, Borderfree will join MarketLive Connect, a partner network of technology providers who contribute a wide range of commerce solutions, through which a "connector" for the Borderfree platform will be built directly into MarketLive’s new 14.1 release, due out this summer. The connector will enable Borderfree's international e-commerce services for all MarketLive merchants who opt to upgrade to the 14.1 version of the platform and integrate the connector. With access to Borderfree's technology and services platform, MarketLive merchants can more easily overcome the barriers to transacting with consumers across the globe, the companies said.
"As we gear up to launch the newest release for the MarketLive platform, we have added a number of new features and enhancements that reflect our customers' evolving needs in today's dynamic marketplace," said Ken Burke, founder and CEO of MarketLive Inc. "Our partnership with Borderfree has allowed us to seamlessly integrate Borderfree's deep global e-commerce technology and offer our clients access to the opportunity international retailing brings. By doing so, both companies are making it very easy for our merchants to almost instantly start selling internationally."
"We are thrilled to partner with MarketLive to bring our international cross-border capabilities to its merchants," said Michael DeSimone, CEO of Borderfree. "By integrating Borderfree into the MarketLive platform, merchants can quickly and seamlessly extend their e-commerce capabilities to build their brand globally and reach customers in new markets."
