Kodak Alaris announced that it has renewed a multi-year agreement with Bartell Drugs, the oldest family-run drug store chain in the nation. According to the companies, the agreement enables Bartell's to provide consumers with a complete photo shopping experience, and designates Kodak Alaris as Bartell's exclusive partner within the photo category for all retail and online printing solutions.
Founded in 1890, Bartell Drugs owns and operates 62 stores in the Seattle, Wash., area. The drug store chain began working with Eastman Kodak Co. 99 years ago when the two companies were newly starting out, and now continues on with the new Kodak Alaris, founded in September of 2013. Bartell's provides its customers with access to more than 200 Kodak Picture Kiosks, giving consumers the convenience and ease to create personalized photo products in minutes.
"Bartell Drugs is a valued partner of our business and we're very pleased to extend our relationship with them as together, we offer consumers the highest quality products and services," said Dennis Olbrich, president of Kodak Alaris personalized imaging business. "We thank Bartell's for their longstanding partnership and are excited to help them grow their photo services business in new and innovative ways."
With the extension of the relationship, Kodak Alaris and Bartell Drugs will continue to make photo products more convenient to access and simpler to create for Seattle area residents. For example, the recently introduced My Kodak Moments app enables consumers to easily access and print from their mobile devices. Kodak quality prints, photo books and greeting cards can be ordered directly from their smartphones and picked up the same day at Bartell Drugs.
