Plus-size women's apparel cataloger Ulla Popken has launched a new Facebook page integrated with MarketLive's e-commerce platform.
MarketLive, a provider of e-commerce technology and services, developed the new Facebook store to allow Facebook users to purchase merchandise directly from Ulla Popken's page, according to a company press release.
The store provides consumers with a shopping experience similar to the one they get on Ulla Popken's website but without directing the consumer away from Facebook. With MarketLive's Social Store for Facebook, consumers will see drop-down navigation bars, a zoom function and have the ability to complete transactions on Facebook. The integrated system also means that the merchant can add or update information on the e-commerce site and the new information will appear in the Facebook store at the same time, Michelle Richenderfer, director of marketing at Ulla Popken, said in the release.
"MarketLive has helped us create a Facebook store that integrates seamlessly with our e-commerce platform," she said. "MarketLive makes it easy to merchandise our main site and our Facebook site simultaneously."
