Walmart stops selling Amazon products

Sept. 21, 2012

Following Target's lead, Walmart decided to discontinue the sale of online retailer Amazon.com products, specifically the Kindle line, according to an article on examiner.com.

The article cited an email sent to store managers on Wednesday, in which Walmart said;

"We have recently made the business decision to not carry Amazon tablets and eReaders beyond our existing inventory and purchase commitments. This includes all Amazon Kindle models current and recently announced (such as the Kindle Fire HD tablets)."

Walmart will still sell Apple and Barnes & Noble products, along with Google, Samsung and other tablets and e-readers.
