The ComQi CentrePoint™ is an auxiliary platform to complement Digital Media Players connected to RemoteTransfer™ - ComQi's world-leading Digital Signage software platform. The CentrePoint can be used when multiple connected players in one location are required to play the same content.

The CentrePoint is a Linux-based server that has acts as an ultra-reliable File Transfer Proxy and Synchronization Master. It is reliable, resistant to "real-world" usage in a retail environment, and needs no local technical expertise to operate.

How it works

The CentrePoint is designed to operate at the heart of ComQi RemoteTransfer networks with up to 100 video players in one location. It allows these multiple players to share one file transfer, thus saving considerably on both bandwidth and local file transfer time. The CentrePoint does this by connecting as an intelligent remote device to the Remote Transfer back end, and then presenting the content to all the in-store players. In addition, the CentrePoint can synchronize connected Media Players, so they all play the same content at exactly the same time.
