The ComQi 'MediaMaster™' is an auxiliary platform to complement Digital Media Players connected to RemoteTransfer™ - ComQi's world-leading Digital Signage software platform. The MediaMaster™ allows companies to own and control their own media server, whilst - at the same time - still using ComQi's RemoteTransfer for reliable network control and management, feedback and other functionality.
How it works
The MediaMaster is a Linux-based server that acts as a robust and reliable local media server. The MediaMaster is the ideal companion to ComQi installations that need their actual media content served from a separate location; e.g. a cheaper collocate facility, a higher-bandwidth location, or a location within the user's own network. The MediaMaster works as follows:
Benefits
The Media Master allows the content to be served up from a separate location under customer control, such as a location within the customer's own network or local data centre. This means that both time and cost can be saved.
By downloading your content once to a local media server then central bandwidth costs can be saved because each media player is only connecting via a local connection which may be your own network or a domestic instead of international connection.
This may also save significant time. If the players are connected via a high bandwidth network to the Media Master then the overall time taken to update all the media players will be faster than all the media players downloading content from Remote Transfer.
