Headquartered in Geneva, de Grisogono is a leading Swiss jeweler and watchmaker. Founded in 1995 by internationally renowned designer Fawaz Gruosi, de Grisogono is famous for returning the black diamond to the center of the jewelry industry by incorporating it into its innovative designs.

Whether in Geneva, St-Moritz, Rome, Paris, Porto Cervo, London or New York, daily physical inventory of all gemstones is a mandatory task not just for security reasons but also for insurance purposes. In addition, because of the similarity among stones, this inventory is critically important in ensuring that no billing errors occur.

De Grisogono asked SOLID and TAGSYS to provide a complete solution for traceability based on SOLID's experience in automated identification software and TAGSYS' track record in customizing RFID technology for complex environments.

As a result, the new system in place allows the retailer to:

  • Perform daily inventories of all stores instead of once per month.
  • Record and monitor jewels as they come in and out of the safes and displays.
  • Eliminate gaps between recorded inventories and physical inventories.
  • Reduce the time to react to theft from one month to several hours.
