Typically, a lack of trust reflects something unnerving but when it comes to retail data security it's literally a very good thing.

Retailers are being tasked with great security oversight today, given the increasing digital activity by customers and clients — whether it's shopping at e-commerce sites or ordering from a mobile device — and each and everyone of those POS points, and all the data needed for the transaction, must be secured and protected.

That's where a 'never trust, always verify' approach can prove vital, according to Jason Graf, vice president of product management at Netsurion. Graf is a trusted and expert IT and cyber security leader. In his role at Netsurion he develops purpose-building solutions for retail and restaurant networks.

In a free one-hour webinar, "How a lack of trust is actually a good thing in securing retail data," Graf mapped out the reasons for the strategy, tips for implementing a strong security approach and common missteps retailers and restaurant brands take when approaching security practices.

Graf also defined the definition of zero trust and how it's securing data in today's 'work-from-home-anywhere' for retailers.
