Now is the time to focus on all aspects of your employee experience.

Many believe the economy is finally turning around. If you thought competition was tough during the last two years, just wait. Not only will you be competing for each sale, you'll be competing for locations, merchandise categories, and you'll be competing with previously unknown players. Most of all, you'll be competing for talent.
Take time to make sure that you're hiring the right kind of people, welcoming new employees into a place they'll feel proud of, and doing more than the minimum to keep your employees with you. It takes time to build a brand from the inside out. Now is a great time to start.
No matter how hard you try or how much you spend, your brand can't be any better than what your customers experience. Most of that experience is up to your employees.
