Consumers want more than general loyalty programs, enjoy shopping at one-stop destinations and love brands that offer an easy return process.
Those are three of the top five things consumers want from retailers, according to Publicis Sapient's Digital Life Index, according to a press release on the top findings.
When it comes to loyalty programs, 35% of U.S. consumers said they're more likely to buy from a retailer whose loyalty program offers the ability to earn perks, points or status and they would love personalized offers based on spending habits as well as customized alerts and notifications.
With regards to a one-stop shop experience, nearly half, 41%, of consumers are more likely to buy from a retailer whose marketplace offers a wide product selection.
Close to half, 47%, of consumers are more likely to buy from a brand that provides an easy returns process.
The survey also revealed 93% of shoppers will likely continue shopping as much as they are right now while 57% said they are more likely to buy from a brand that provides an easy way to navigate a website and mobile app, with 52% stating they will avoid a brand's website or mobile app due to bad design.
