Convenience store, 7-Eleven, plans to install 500 direct-current EV charging stations at 250 North America locations.
The stations will be owned and run by the retailer, according to a TechCrunch report.
The strategy is aimed at catching the attention of the increasing number of electric car owners as well as highway traffic consumers given the retailer's locations are typically near major roadways.
The convenience brand already runs 22 stations in 14 stores across four states, according to the report.
