Aldi tests recycling reverse vending machine

Aldi installed its first reverse vending machine for plastic bottle recycling on a trial basis in Ireland, according to an msn.com report.

The machine was installed at the Mitchelstown store in County Cork, and will expand to its Naas and Mallow stores in the coming months.

Customers can return PET plastic bottles up to three liters and aluminum cans to the machine which can collect up to 3,000 plastic bottles or 12,000 cans at one time.
