Amazon culls third-party delivery partners

Amazon is cancelling a slew of third-party delivery contracts due to issues with safety, performance and working conditions.

The terminated contracts will result in the layoff of at least 2,200 workers but Amazon expects to offer those workers other positions with other partner delivery driver firms, according to a Puget Sound Business Journal report.
