Amazon hiring 33K workers and it's not holiday season related

Amazon plans to hire on 33,000 employees within the next few months and the hiring surge isn't about fulfilling holiday workforce needs or seasonal roles.

The hiring is aimed at adding to tech and corporate roles across several Amazon offices, in New York, Denver and Seattle, according to an Associate Press report at Newsday.

The news comes on the heels of Amazon announcing plans to construct a second headquarters near Washington, D.C.
