Amazon hiring 75K workers for fulfillment network needs

Amazon is hiring 75,000 workers for jobs in its fulfillment and logistics network, across the U.S. and Canada.

The news comes on the heels of the retailer's announcement it will increase pay in that employee segment. The new hires will be offered an average starting pay of over $17 an hour, plus sign-on bonuses, according to a press release.

"We look forward to hiring 75,000 associates across our fulfillment and transportation network," Alicia Boler Davis, vice president of global customer fulfillment, said in the release. "Working atAmazonalso comes with an unwavering commitment to safety, especially as we continue to navigate a global pandemic. In addition to the great pay and robust benefits available to new hires starting on their first day, we're offering a$100benefit to new hires who come toAmazonalready vaccinated for COVID-19."

The locations with the most open roles includeArizona,California,Colorado,Georgia,Illinois,Kentucky,Maryland,Michigan,Minnesota,New Jersey,Pennsylvania,Tennessee,WashingtonandWisconsin.
