Amazon hiring for 1st Amazon Fresh store in NY

Long Island, New York will be the home of the first Amazon Fresh supermarket in New York State.

The store will be in Oceanside and Amazon is holding hiring events though an opening date has not yet been announced, according to a Newsday report.

The location is the former site of a Waldbaum's supermarket.

The announced store is one of three reportedly in the works for Long Island. Plans filed with town offices reveal Amazon may locate a store in Plainview and East Setauket.
