Amazon plans to open its 10th Texas fulfillment center, this time in Katy.
The e-tailer said another 1,000 jobs will be created, according to a press release. Amazon operates facilities in Dallas, Coppell, Haslet, Fort Worth, Schertz and San Marcos. Two additional centers are in development in Houston and Coppell.
"We are excited to continue growing in Texas by creating an additional 1,000 full-time roles at this new fulfillment center in Katy," Akash Chauhan, Amazon's VP of North American Operations, said in a statement.
