Amazon is getting ready to open a branded grocery store in Woodland Hills, California, with a 2020 debut date.
The store will not be a Whole Foods brand store, according to a Cnet report, and there is scant information on pricing, brand name or if it is the start of a new chain by the omnichannel leader.
Cnet noted job postings placed by Amazon regarding a grocery store and stated the store will not be an Amazon Go cashierless location.
The news comes on the heels of Amazon eliminating the delivery fee for its Amazon Fresh grocery service.
