Amazon workers get big payout for COVID-19 shot

Getting the COVID-19 vaccine has paid off for eight Amazon workers as the retail powerhouse has gifted cars and $100,000 bonus checks.
The awards were part of the company's Max Your Vax contest aimed at spurring employees to get vaccinated, according to a CNBC report. Awards also included vacation packages.
A Whole Foods staffer and four Amazon warehouse employees were given cars valued over $30,000 and three warehouse workers and supermarket workers were given $100,000 in cash.
Workers also have the chance for a week of paid time off complete with a $12,000 vacation package, as well as cash awards worth $100,000 and $500,000.
Eighteen prizes will be awarded this month through Oct. 21.
