Appriss Retail names Vishal Patel chief product, tech officer

Appriss Retail, which provides solutions designed to combat returns and claims fraud, has promoted Vishal Patel to a newly-created role of chief product and technology officer.

Patel has over 10 years of experience in software engineering, machine learning and cloud infrastructure, according to a press release.

Patel will lead Appriss Retail's product, engineering, infrastructure, cloud engineering, operations and support teams. The role reflects the company's strategic move to unify product and technology under a single leader to foster faster innovation, stronger cross-functional alignment, and a more cohesive roadmap for the future, according to the release.

"Vishal brings deep technical expertise paired with strong product vision," Michael Osborne, CEO, Appriss Retail, said in the release. "I am confident in his ability to accelerate growth and market leadership by steering his teams to tightly align technology and product strategy, accelerating delivery of impactful, AI-driven solutions that protect profits while preserving the customer experience."

Patel has held many roles at Appriss Retail, most recently chief technology officer, and built and led a global team of over 100 engineers, data scientists, cloud experts and support professionals.
