Rite Aid isn't as optimistic about this year's earnings as it was in April and now expects to hit between break-even and a loss of four cents per share, compared to two cents to six cents per share earlier this year.
The pharmacy is attributing the revamped financial outlook to generic drug pricing projections, according to a Yahoo Finance report.
The news comes six months after Albertsons announced its intentions to buy the company's 2,500 locations.
