The Athlete's Foot has expanded its marketing team and promoted two leaders in what it calls "key" personnel moves.
Darius Billings, a 15-year employee with the footwear brand, has been named VP of marketing and community engagement. He is also spearheading the brand's StAART program (The Strategic African American Retail Track), created in 2020 as a response to the Black Lives Matter Movement.
Cassidy Dansberry is marketing manager and has played an instrumental role during the past year in driving consumer connectivity and leading TAF's community-based grassroots initiatives, according to a press release.
Billings will continue to report to Matthew Lafone, president and general manager of Americas. Dansberry will continue to report to Billings, who had been serving in the role of partner success manager and consultant for digital marketing company Sapper Consulting prior to her role at TAF.
The brand has also added two positions to the marketing team including a social media coordinator and marketing coordinator.
"The Athlete's Foot is proud to announce the much-deserved promotions of veteran team members Darius Billings and Cassidy Dansberry. They were both instrumental during the past year in driving consumer connectivity and leading TAF's community-based grassroots initiatives. We are excited to build on the momentum from 2022 and are moving full speed ahead with several game changing programs and concepts for 2023," Lafone said in the release.
