The year is off to a rousing start for Batteries Plus as the specialty battery chain has signed 17 franchise agreements and opened eight locations across seven states in the first quarter of the year.

Eight store openings took place across Arkansas, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, South Carolina and Texas

"This strong start to 2025 reflects the continued demand for our products, services, expertise, and franchise opportunity across the country and beyond," Victor Daher, vice president of global franchise development for Batteries Plus, said in the release. "From new franchisees entering our system to seasoned operators expanding their portfolios, entrepreneurs continue to see Batteries Plus as a stable, high-growth investment backed by innovation, support, and strong unit-level economics."

Of the new franchise agreements, the brand's debut in Hawaii is a milestone as Batteries Plus enters its 48th total state. Bringing Batteries Plus to the Aloha State is local entrepreneur Pierre Parranto.

"As a business owner and former customer, I saw firsthand the need for a dependable battery supplier in Hawaii," Parranto said in the release "The franchise model fills a critical gap in the market while offering the backing of a national brand and a strong support system. I'm excited to bring Batteries Plus to Hawaii, where we can deliver reliable power solutions, create jobs, and become a trusted resource for local businesses and residents alike."
