Best Buy will not be open on Thanksgiving and is putting many of its Black Friday deals online for the second straight year, according to a CNN report.

In 2020, which marked the height of the COVID-19, the company heavily promoted online sales and opened for in-person shopping on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Best Buy is the latest retailer to halt Thanksgiving day operations. Back in January Target made the same announcement and Walmart most recently announced it will be closed on the holiday.

"Last year, thanks to the extraordinary work of our employees, we helped millions of customers with their holiday shopping during Black Friday weekend," Best Buy wrote in an announcement, according to CNN. "This year, we'll have even more ways for customers to easily and conveniently get their holiday shopping done, over the Black Friday weekend and throughout the entire holiday season."

Best Buy has not yet announced its store hours for Black Friday or the rest of the holiday weekend.
