Over half, 52%, of U.S. consumers plan to skip Black Friday shopping this year and 24% of former Black Friday shoppers are not shopping as well on the day after Thanksgiving.

Those are top findings from a YouGov poll regarding consumer participating on what has long been the top shopping day of the year.

When it comes to consumer demographics women and older consumers are the least enthusiastic as 28% of those ages 50 to 64, and 27% of women overall, won't be shopping Black Friday, according to a press announcement.

Yet just over a third, 33%, will remain loyal to the holiday shopping day.
