Buddy’s Home Furnishings franchise portfolio expands

Buddy's Home Furnishings has awarded three locations to multi-unit franchise Alex Melvin and MTM Ventures. The franchisee recently opened in Asheville, North Carolina, according to a press release.

The sales and rental furniture retailer has more than 325 locations in the U.S.

Melvin began franchising with Buddy's in 2014 when he opened his first store in Hendersonville, North Carolina and expanded, opening locations in Shelby and Lincolnton, North Carolina and in Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson and Greenwood, South Carolina.

Additionally, Buddy's awarded MTM Ventures two more locations to develop in the Carolinas earlier this year.

"Im going to grow with Buddy's as long as I'm able to," Melvin said in the press release. "I've explored many franchising opportunities throughout my career and none compare to Buddy's turnkey model and dependable support. I wanted to buy a business, not a job, and I've found that here."

"Alex has been a valuable part of the Buddy's family for many years," Mitchell Lee, director of franchise development at Buddy's, said in the release. "He knows this business inside and out and has worked hard to establish a strong foothold in the Carolinas."
