Celerant Technology has announced mobile applications for back-office retail functions, allowing for daily procedures to be simplified and completed in a fraction of the time, according to the company. The applications run in a browser environment that is compatible with most mobile devices and tablets.
"The development of the mobile application has enabled us to simplify our current layout, which has been redesigned so that menu items and customer data are more accessible to the user," said Ian Goldman, Celerant Technology president and CEO. "Our focus is to make improvements to the software, enabling it to be more user-friendly and accessible for our clients. Looking forward, we are working to develop additional web based applications for a secure point of sale and have all of the functionality of Command Retail in the palm of your hand."
Celerant's Mobile applications can be utilized for performing a variety of back-office functions for inventory, purchase orders and receiving, producing quotes, gift registry, physical inventory, transferring orders, warehouse functions and more. In addition to the convenience afforded by mobile devices, the applications are able to expedite the sales process, improve inventory and transfer accuracy, and automate operational processes.
"The mobile retail applications have been developed with seamless integration, using jQuery, a cross-browser java script which provides a touch-optimized web framework for mobile devices and tablets" said Robert Goldman, CTO and vice president of Celerant Technology. "This technology allows us to create a variety of applications that address the needs of retailers who would like to use mobile devices in their daily operations."
