Chicago adding 50 payment kiosks for city services

February 23, 2018

Chicago's department of finance will add 50 additional payment kiosks in city buildings as part of an effort to upgrade online municipal services' payment options for residents, according to smartcitiesdive.com.

The initiative is designed to establish a centralized online platform for residents and businesses to manage all of the fees they owe, according to an emailed press release.

The first phase of the upgrades will be available this summer, covering payments for parking, red light camera and speed camera violations. Utility payments will be accepted later this year.
