CITGO unveils store redesign

August 30, 2010

CITGO Petroleum Corp., which is based in Houston, has unveiled its new retail street-image design for its branded-light oils and lubricants marketers nationwide.

The design has a red triform look for the retail canopy, pump and Quick Lube building. CITGO Petroleum developed the new look in conjunction with its network of CITGO marketers.

The company tested the design in Katy, Texas; Greensboro, N.C.; Bristol, Conn.; Park City, Ill.; Fuquay Varina, N.C. and Miami to ensure that it can endure weather conditions in different parts of the country. The company also wanted to ensure that the businesses could easily install the new design.

The design will be available to all new CITGO locations Sept. 1; locally owned retail sites will begin re-branding Jan. 1, 2011.

CITGO aims to have the new street image installed in the next few years at each of its nearly 6,500 locally owned CITGO-branded gasoline stations and its nearly 200 CITGO Fast Lube stations nationwide.
