A national survey reveals same-day delivery is an increasing choice for shoppers and can foster brand loyalty.
That’s the finding of Dropoff's third annual Holiday Survey which also revealed consumers are more concerned about gifts being delivered on-time than ever, yet a good majority (77 percent) do expect to be shopping at the last minute, according to a press release.
"Going into the 2018 holiday shopping season, it's never been more important for retailers to understand shoppers’ needs when purchasing gifts," said Sean Spector, CEO of Dropoff, in the release. "Consumers plan to do more last minute shopping than ever and have high expectations for quick delivery options to accommodate. Retailers can build brand loyalty beyond the holiday season and drive future purchases in the increasingly competitive landscape by working with a reliable same-day delivery partner."
Millennials are 118 percent more likely to pay extra for same-day delivery on a gift.
