CVS creates top leadership role to drive tech strategy

Tilak Mandadi has been hired for a newly-created executive leadership role at CVS Health Corp. that aims to integrate the company's technology strategy.

His title, chief data, digital and technology officer, oversees the CIO and other tech executives, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Prior to the role the company's technology leadership was dispersed among nearly a half dozen executives all reporting to various leaders.

Mandadi comes to CVS after serving as chief strategy, innovation and tech leader at MGM Resorts International. He will also have the title of EVP and report directly to Karen Lynch, CVS president and CEO.
