Debenhams in talks with Sears to expand into U.S. market

According to The Telegraph, Debenhams, a department-store retailer operating in the UK, Ireland and Denmark, with franchise stores in other countries, is said to be in talks with Sears to open concession or franchise areas in Sears outlets across the United States.

Debenhams currently has about 60 franchised stores around the world and plans to increase that number to 100.

Sears has already signed deals with Forever 21, Whole Foods and Lands' End for spaces within its stores.
