E-tailer Shein hits Canada with a pop-up

Shein, an e-tailer on social media platform TikTok, recently held a successful, first-ever pop-up experience in Canada.

About 4,000 fans of the fashion/beauty/home online retailer attended the three-day event in Stackt Market, according to a press release.

Fans were able to try the retailer's Sheglam beauty-tester counter, and a lucky few received a complimentary press-on nail manicure. A postcard at the entrance allowed all guests to earn a surprise gift based on their engagement inside the pop-up. Sunglasses, Sheglam palettes, a tote bag and sun hat were among the tiered gifts awarded to event goers.

The e-tailer expects to launch more pop-ups as well as a full retail experience via a store that will boast walk-out, check-out technology.
