Amazon's annual mega sale, Prime Day, will likely target specific competitor e-commerce retailers, according to a JPMorgan analyst.

Those targets are Chewy, eBay and Stitch Fix, said Doug Anmuth in a client note, according to a CNBC report.

The 48-hour event, kicking off tomorrow, has seen previous competitive marketing in which Amazon does a targeted promotion and the competitor responds.

Anmuth used an example from last year where Amazon ran a 60% sale on first-time subscribers to its pet food service and Chewy then offered the same.

Amazon, which expanded its fashion offerings this year, is already promoting it heavily given it now boasts a personal shopper feature — something Stitch Fix offers.

JPMorgan expects Prime Day to hit revenue of $7.5 billion over its 48-hour course, a 42% spike over last year's $5.3 billion.
