Gap honors frontline workers with bonus effort

Retailer Gap is doling out $300 bonuses to 70,000 hourly employees as a way to thank workers for their performance and serving as the "lifeblood" of the business during the COVID-19 pandemic, a press release said.

"In this spirit, today we want to honor our frontline team members — the employees who support our stores and customer experience centers (distribution and customer contact centers) — who served as the lifeblood of our business through acute COVID impacts and delivered an incredible experience for our customers through it all," the release said.
