Gap is reportedly laying off more workers starting this month.
The news comes seven months after the retailer slashed 500 corporate jobs, according to a New York Post report citing the Wall Street Journal.
The news also comes shortly after David's Bridal announced it was filing for bankruptcy and closing stores and on the heels of Ikea announcing a $2.2 billion U.S. expansion strategy.
Gap did not respond to request for comment from the Journal.
At the start of this year the company employed over 90,000 workers.
