Giant Food debuting c-store concept

Progressive Grocer: Giant Food Stores LLC plans to open its first convenience store, Giant To Go, on April 15 in Lancaster, Pa. The 4,422-square-foot store will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and employ 12 people."Giant To Go will be more than your typical convenience store, with everything customers would expect to find in a convenience store but with an emphasis on fresh, on-the-go products and savings for which Giant is well-known," said Sander van der Laan, Giant Food Stores president and chief executive.
