'Gift Me This' feature lets Facebook users build wishlists

ShopLocal recently announced its "Gift Me This" feature for Facebook.

Gift Me This is built on ShopLocal's SmartCircular technology solution. The solution converts retailers' local print promotions, including circulars, catalogs, ROP and bonus pages into searchable website pages. Gift Me This enables Facebook users to create social wish lists by pushing products they find in SmartCirculars to their Facebook News Feeds by clicking on the Gift Me This link.

The feature also enables retailers to:

  • Allow users to share deals from a product rollover when browsing weekly ad pages
  • Add custom messages when sharing local deals
  • Distribute and extend local deals by making sharing easy within the Facebook user experience
  • Integrate comments on SmartCircular sites into users' Facebook profiles to help deals go viral
